A collection of Thanksgiving recipes from my Friendsgiving dinner. My local food blogging friends all came together to share their favorite recipes.
I didn’t want to make an ENTIRE Pre Thanksgiving meal myself, AND I didn’t want to try to squeeze in 12+ recipe posts in one week! So I thought by inviting some other amazing local foodies we could get a great spread, and we could all bring our favorite items!
It worked out great and by having everyone bring their favorite Recipes it was the best Thanksgiving meal I have ever, and probably WILL ever have! Seriously, every dish is amazing!
I invited Lindsey, from Cafe Johnsonia, Jesseca from One Sweet Appetite, Yvonne from Tried and Tasty and Aimee from Like Mother Like Daughter!
These girls are CRAZY talented and make amazing food, seriously if I hadn’t tried some recipes and been impressed I wouldn’t have invited them, if you like my food you’ll like theirs!
The only bad part of our day is by the time we finished with all the set up and photography I had to run get my kids and I didn’t get to sit and eat and chat with them!
But we had a great time taking pictures. I think working on projects with people is so much more fun and makes events better, working details out with more great minds!
If you want to dress up your table like ours we focused on all white dishes, you can see we used a few clear where we had to, but over all between us we were able to get what we needed (food bloggers seriously have the best props!).
And Aimee and Jesseca had some extra’s from other projects that added some color and backdrop to the table. I went to a local florist and bought a bunch of lemon leaf branches to dress the Turkey and the table and voila! Loveliness!
You can get all of my Thanksgiving recipes here in my Thanksgiving cookbook. Including recipes that aren’t on the blog.
After we finished the table pictures we decided to plate it up! It smelled SOOO good and we were all SOOOO hungry working with all this amazing food! It was nice to finally break into it, but of course we had to all take pictures of the PLATE before eating. I believe Jesseca finally took the first bite!
We hope you all enjoy our recipes as much as we did! We all love comments, pins, shares, etc… and hope you all had as much with this week’s recipes as we did!
So did we miss anyone’s favorite traditional Thanksgiving food? What part of the Thanksgiving table are you responsible for this year? Do you host? Or do you prefer to show up eat, and do the dishes (my dad’s job)? What else do you enjoy about Thanksgiving?
A holiday all about food and family is the best holiday ever and seriously one of my favorites, I’m giddy and can’t wait for next week!
I get to travel back to my home state of Oregon and enjoy the holiday with the sister I almost never get to see so I’m SO excited (and I’m in charge of the turkey, gravy and potatoes, shocker)
