We love all sorts of cookies here, but the classics are classic for a reason! These are the original chocolate chip cookies. Thin, crisp and oh so delicious.

Why I baked these Chocolate Chip Cookies

Toll house cookies – the classic chocolate chip cookies. they are slightly flat with a great crunch and tons of chocolate throughout.

One of my favorite references to these cookies is in Friends – where Monica makes 22 batches of of cookies trying to figure out the “secret” recipe from Phoebe’s great Grandmother “Nestle Toulouse” it’s hilarious.

So no I didn’t reinvent the wheel and I certainly didn’t create these cookies, BUT as long as I was making a video comparing different chocolate chip cookie recipes (full video in the recipe card at the bottom) I HAD to include the classics.

I also use this recipe (with mini chocolate chips) to make small dough balls for cookie dough ice cream. Also for my Deep Fried cookie dough AND for my chocolate chip cookie cones.

Just take me to the Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies already!
