I was going through old pictures the other day and I found this cake I made 18 months ago but never shared! GAH! I hate it when I forget to share stuff, by the time I do it tends to be out of date. But my boys (Mr. Topsy Turvy and Computer boy) are celebrating their joint birthday tomorrow at a trampoline park so it seemed to be the perfect time to break it out!
A local Trampoline park (called Hang Time, thus the lettering, oh and that’s their logo of a jumping figure up top) invited a bunch of us bloggers out for a family day. We all had a blast, but it is kind of far away from our house so we never got a chance to go back. Then out of the blue Computer boy started talking about it! SO party at the Trampoline park it is!
This was a simple cake, a standard round layer topped with a square that I carved down into a corner trampoline piece. I just cut rows then squares out of grey and blue fondant for the foam. For the lettering and jumping figure I printed off their logo, placed it over rolled fondant and marked the corners (like I did for the lego logo on the lego head cake). After the lettering was cut I used my airbrush to add the orange fade over the yellow.
I don’t like doing repeats so I won’t be making this again, any ideas for something else Trampoline inspired? Because he had a friend party last year (the Pool Party) it’s family this year I don’t have plans for a grand cake or party. Jumping, then our place for dinner, cake and Ice cream.

That’s an amazing cake!! Did it taste as yummy as it looks? 😉

ALWAYS, I am a big believer that no matter how good a cake looks if it doesn’t taste amazing what’s the point! I have worked for years getting my cake and frosting flavors just right!
