This thread crochet infant crown is quick and easy to make. And it is perfect for infant photo shoots and baby pictures.

thread crochet crown pattern

I know crowns are usually a girl thing, but since I had a baby BOY and not a baby girl a “prince” crown it is!

I was worried crochet baby crown pattern would turn out a bit too girly looking, but I think it the end it turned out pretty darn cute (kind of like my little guy!!!).

Baby prince crown
Material:
crochet thread
3.25 mm hook (this is actually the smallest YARN hook I have for a more open feel to the crown, rather than the largest thread crochet hook)

Stitches used:
chain (ch)
slip stitch (ss)
double crochet (dc)
picot- chain 3, ss in third chain from hook
shell pattern- 2 dc, picot, 2 dc

thread crochet crown base

Chain 84, ss to the last chain on the hook (or whatever size needed for your baby’s head, I tried it on again after 2 rows to check if it still fit!  If you can keep it in multiples of 6 you’ll have an easier time with the pattern)

Row 1- chain 3 (counts as dc), dc in every chain on the hook (84 stitches)
Row 2- repeat row 1

Row 3- chain 3 (counts as dc), *skip 2 dc and do a shell in the next dc, skip two dc, dc in next dc, repeat from * around, skip 2 dc and do a shell in the next dc, ss to the first dc (chain 3) fasten off

Front: Seriously- could he be any cuter???  Oh wait… I think he CAN get cuter!

Side: love love LOVE this little guy, and how precious, cute and cuddly he is.  I just want to hug and snuggle this little guy- Oh wait…  I CAN!!!!  In fact I’m snuggling and cuddling, and kissing and snuggling with him RIGHT NOW (nanner nanner- aren’t you all a big jealous?)!

Oh…  Sorry, another pictures, I couldn’t help it, he’s just so much fun these days, smiling, cooing, talking…  Definitely my sweet little prince, totally deserving of his crown! In fact we might have to move on from Baby Boy as a nickname to Prince…
