The Great Pinterest Challenge link up party starts this Friday! So I’m sharing one of my recent pinterest inspired item!
A homemade pizza braid, I’ve actually made this 3 times now, but I only took a picture the first time. I actually have changed it JUST a bit since this time.
The main thing? I add a lot more filling. I wasn’t sure how thick I could go the first time I made it.
I was inspired by this pizza braid calzone pin, but I used the fast easy bread recipe and sauce that I used for the stuffed crust pizza.
Start by rolling the dough out into a squarish rectangle! Fill the center third with your sauce, toppings and cheese. The first time I went a little light, the next time I did a few layers!
I cut off a bit of each side and placed it around the filling to help hold it in. The second time I didn’t do that and it didn’t seem to matter too much.
Kind of your choice, or maybe depends on how runny your filling is, or how THICK you make it. Anyway, fold up the top and bottom as well to hold in the filling.
Using a pizza cutter I cut the side into slits, and then one side at a time fold them over and up a bit to create your braid! Go all the way up to the top, sticking the dough to itself by getting the dough a bit wet
I let it rise for about 20 mins before throwing it into the oven.
I cooked it at 415 degrees for about 20 mins! Gorgeous, huh? And it tasted great. I have to say ONE more time that I liked it better with more filling, I like a balance to my filling/bread when it comes to my pizza.

I’m very interested in doing a giveaway and discount. Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you. I just had a baby and I’m a “bit” behind in my responding and email! I also got an email from a Maha about an affiliate program. Is that the same thing? Or something different. And can I do both or only one?
