Jasmine was one of the hardest of the Princesses to decide on a food item for. She eats an apple in the market place with Alladin, but I’m doing apples with Snow White so that doesn’t work. So rather than go with food from the movie what about part of the movie that is a stand out, the carpet? I’m already doing cookies… So while it’s a little obscure I decided to go with a piece of her castle, the golden dome’s, such a unique shape for her castle! And I LOVE how well the shape came together!

Supplies
Oreo truffle’s
small or medium cookie scoop
chocolate chips
yellow candy coating
2 C liquid measuring cup (for dipping)
Lollipop sticks
Gold sanding sugar

made with oreo truffle balls create the dome shape
After you refrigerate the truffle material create scoops, leaving the bottom flat, and freeze them for about 10 minx. Melt the yellow candy and pull out the truffles.  dip the flat side of the chocolate chips in some of the candy and press on onto the top of each of the truffles!  This is going to create that point on the top of the domes!

double dip in chocolate then shiny sugar crystals
Dip the bottom 1/2 inch into the melted candy and then push into the flat side of the truffles.  I do the whole pan, letting the candy set.  Then, holding the sticks, dip the truffle into the candy.  Pull it out and shake the excess off (twisting while you go) and let it harden (I push mine into a flower foam block to set).

Then dip pit again (the double diping is just so the dark chocolate doesn’t show through the light yellow).  Shake off the excess while turning and give it a little upside down shake at the end to create the point.  Then, working quickly, before the chocolate sets, press into the sanding sugar, turning and getting every side.

And your done! Super easy and fast! My kids love helping with theses.  The one tip I’ll mention is if the truffles start to shake a bit, or jiggle, refridgerate them for a few mins, you don’t want to have one fall off into the melted candy!  You want them firm to work with but not so cold they crack the candy as it sets!
