I have loved the chalkboard tread that has been growing the past few years. So creating these Christmas cards was just perfect! Thanks to Chelsea Peterson Photography for supplying the pictures for the collage
I have been thrilled with how much everyone has loved these Christmas cards! I’ve even gotten a few in the mail, which totally tickles me. I’d love to create another group of invitations this year, any requests?

ADORABLE! Pinned it! I need to find our family picture and get on to making Christmas cards (which are also We’ve Moved cards). Thanks for the freebies and I love how you split them up between you and your sister. I’ll check her out! XoxO

I saw your free cards on pinterest and nearly died, they are so cute!!! How do we get them? I liked your and your sister’s FB pages.
Ashlee
on either Facebook pages click the tab “free Christmas chalkboard cards”. on my page the tab is between the “photos” tab and the “free lego star wars food labels”. the Tabs are located just below the cover photo!
then scroll down to the blue links. first are the PNG images, and after that JPG. when you click on them they’ll open up in another window, right click and “save as” anywhere you want!
Juliette
love them! however, (forgive my ignorance,) how do I add my own picture? I assume I’d use the JPEG, that’s what I’m used to using (don’t have photo software,) but I can’t figure out how to add my own pic, and then how do most people print? themselves or somewhere else? I didn’t think I was too technically challenged, but it seems I am! thanks, they are so creative! LOVE the photography, btw!
Ashlee
It’s easiest to use the png file to add them. the png files already have a blank spot and you can put your picture underneath and layer it. if you use the jpeg you have to either delete the white section or place your picture over the top and crop it to match. without photo editing there really isn’t a way to do it. Pic monkey works, it’s online and free, but only for digital cards, as they don’t save in high enough quality to print. If you can’t get it to work email me back and I’ll see if I can help you.

Okay…So why am I not figuring out how to download the png/jpg files to use these adorable ideas??? HeLp!

So cute and thanks for sharing! Any chance you can share any of the fonts so I can add our family names to the card (like the holy night or cheer font)? Thanks again!
Ashlee
“oh holy night” is in the free font “janda Stylish” http://www.dafont.com/janda-stylish-script.font “cheer” is “before the rain” http://www.dafont.com/before-the-rain.font

I’m so glad you like them. just remember that pic monkey saves at 72 dpi, so while it’s great for digital cards, it will be terrible for printing. for printing you want at least 300 dpi

Great, thank you! What is the font that says “the best way to spread Christmas”? I was up until 3am working on our family cards – I love them! Thanks again!!!
Ashlee
That font is Doris Day http://www.dafont.com/doris-day.font

how would you suggest getting these printed on paper? We want to do a front & back card, can’t seem to figure it out with the 5×7 sizing. Thanks!
Ashlee
I used Uprinting.com, they have a good price and do front and back in 5×7. when I first designed them I didn’t think it would be a problem, most paid cards are 5×7, but everywhere I thought I could print either ONLY sells their own designs (boo) or ONLY does the front (double boo) so I was glad when I found uprinting, AND they have pretty fast shipping as well. You might also want to try someone local to you, sometimes they have good pricing as well.

I have been searching and searching for the perfect cards. I am in LOVE with these!!!! Only thing is I cant seem to download the horizontal “Merry Christmas” one. Is that one not available? If not No biggie! Still LOVE the rest! Thanks again!!
Ashlee
the one with the ivy on my sisters page? Or the Merry Christmas and happy new year? I just checked both (png and jpg) and they are working just fine for me. once you click on the link and open it up right click and then click on “save image as” and save onto your computer. email me back and let me know, let’s make sure you get the one you want!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU – you are awesome!!!
Ashlee

LOVE these and am going to use them for my Christmas cards! I put pictures in of our son. This will be his first Christmas! One question, what are the fonts you used? I’d like to add from “The Trofholz Family”, but can’t find a good font. Thanks again!
Ashlee
which one, I used quite a few different fonts.
Stephanie
The font for the “Merry and Bright”! If you want to give it out 🙂
