Yet another Oreo Truffle Pop! I love these things. You can also use cake pops for these Rock Troll pops if you want, either one works GREAT! You create grey “rocks” then add green luster dust for a “moss” look. What do you think? My husband didn’t get it, or think they were great, but I LOVED how they turned out!
Could you think of another food I could have made to represent the Rock Troll’s? I seriously think it’s perfect the way it is. Tasty, and out of all the foods I made for the Frozen party I think they were MY favorites. Use this Oreo Truffle recipe to get the “dough” and roll into small balls (I like to use the small #60 cookie scoop).
Melt White chocolate and add some Black CANDY Gel (oil based, not water based) to create a light grey. Drip a sucker stick into the chocolate then stick it into one of the cookie balls and put back in the fridge. After you add the sticks to all the balls it’s time to dip each of the balls into the grey chocolate. Let them all set (I keep them refrigerated).
To add the “moss” effect with some chartreuse luster dust. Use a nice full brush, I like to use a blush brush, but NOT one that you have EVER used on your face, no cross contamination… EVER. The more you brush the darker the effect will be, so you can have some spots darker than others. It’s super easy and fun to do! The effect is awesome.
What do you think? Oreo pops are one of my favorite treats to make for birthday parties, they can be changed up for any theme! So delicious and pretty!
