Washi Tape Crafts

I’ve been seeing Washi Tape projects everywhere.  I love crafting, and I love Japanese ANYTHING, so Japanese based Craft supplies?  No brainer…  BUT I hadn’t had time this summer to jump on the Washi Tape Bandwagon!

So when Downtown Tape asked if I’d like to review a few rolls I said “HECK YES!!!”  I was so excited to get these rolls in the mail last week!

I love flat shipping (but my husband doesn’t- I buy too much)

And how cute are these other projects?  And these polka dot tapes?  LOVE!

I started with two projects- Coasters and dressing up a Decorative letter B. I only meant to do one project at first, but then it was just so fast and easy I made another one!

I got these flat coasters from the Oh My Crafts warehouse sale.  I love the glass tile coasters, but I don’t have room for very many, these flat coasters are PERFECT for people without lot of room- like me!

I laid the tape down one color at a time, with the tape sticking out over the edges.

Until I completely covered the coasters…

I also wanted to do a set with tape diagonal as well.

Again, I covered the coaster completely.

I made 4 of each, changing the order of tape for each one so all eight coasters are different.

Laying the coaster tape side down I cut the excess tape off

All done… But I don’t want the condensation of the glasses to ruin the tape or the coasters, so I wanted to seal them.

I love my new Mod Podge silicone mat!  It’s amazing, nothing sticks to it so it’s PERFECT for covering coasters.  Now they are sealed and ready to use!

Mmmm Italian Soda’s!!!!  Our new favorite summer drink (I like Orange with a splash of Vanilla, what about you?)

I had this Letter in my girls room, it’s fine, but nothing special…

in a few seconds FLAT I wrapped the letter in the tape (it was the PERFECT height)

Filled the inside holes in the B, added some stripes and covered the front of the knobs!

It took me less than a min and I LOVE the change it made!

I was given some downtown tape to review, but all opinions are 100% my own!

That is so funny. I totally wasn’t paying attention to which tape you picked as your favorite. I went and looked through them all and came back to enter mine – Watertown Flowers! Seriously! Great minds think alike!!
