Hi! My name is Natalie and I am the owner and designer at Katarina’s Paperie. Named after my darling little girl, we are an online design boutique nestled near our nation’s capital. We’re on a quest to build fun families through celebrations big and small. At Katarina’s Paperie, we believe that celebrating shouldn’t just be reserved for birthdays, but for any moment that you want to make extra special. We create printables and handcrafted paper goods to use at birthdays, play dates, holidays, sports victories, school celebrations or simply a special dinner at home with family.
Our designs capture the whimsy of childhood. Through font, graphics and color we work to tell a story about your child and their special event. We love creating designs that make your special moments one of a kind.
As a former second grade teacher, my love of designing blossomed through creating unique activities and games for my students. I loved seeing how excited they got about learning when they had fun crafts to make and games to play. After welcoming our adorable new daughter into our lives I realized that I wanted to create designs to make her childhood celebrations extra special.
I couldn’t be a designer without my most favorite thing in the world – my family. Now with two little ones running around, they keep me quite busy and happy. They are the inspiration behind my designs and my joy to hosting celebrations big and small.
If I’m not planning our next celebration or creating a new design, you’ll most likely find me in the kitchen. Sweets are my weak spot and I love baking with my daughter (and hopefully my son is not too far behind). Looking at the kitchen through her eyes has been quite an adventure and baking together is one of our favorite things to do. That and eating our creations!
