Kid Chatteroo: a Family Fun App

My family tells a story about when I was 2 years old and was at the neighbor house being babysat. While I was there our Bishop (our ecclesiastical leader) came to visit with the neighbor. As he left he said good-bye to the neighbors little boy and to me. Without skipping a beat I looked up and said “Good-bye Butt-face”. He was a bit taken aback and said “I’m sorry, what did you say?” and I, even louder, repeated myself “I said Good-bye Butt-face!” and went back to playing.

Thankfully they laughed, and when my mom was told about it later she laughed too. To this day no one knows where I learned “butt-face”. I’m sure there were many more times I said funny things, and of course my own kids say the funniest things on a daily basis! Just last year The D.A. came up to me and said “I want to go to Gay-Peoples house…” WHAT??? It took a few tries before we figured out she was saying “Christophers” house, and in her cute speech issues it sounded like “gay-peoples”. I meat to get out the camera and take a video, but I NEVER DID! GRRRRR!~ With the Kid Chatteroo app it’s fast and easy to capture fun moments with your children!

Do you have a dream? A goal? As bloggers we’re often asked what we WANT out of our blog in the end, where we want it to take us. I know where I want to end up, I’d love love LOVE to be on TV with my cakes! And if I could have my own show? even better.

My friend, Kirsten, from The Crafting Chicks came up with this idea for an app and she went for it! It took longer than she hoped (what doesn’t?), but in the end she TOTALLY DID IT! Way to go Kirsten! I am so totally happy for her and tickled with what she’s created!

The app is super easy to use. Here’s how it works…

  • Create “PEEPS” with the faces in your family.
  • Pick your category to pull fun questions from (This isn’t a trivia game. It’s creative and there are no wrong answers.)
  • Push on the avatar to record responses to the questions
  • Recordings are stored by child with a time/date stamp
  • Enjoy and share!
