Kay, I learned this technique from Jen at The Project Girl, and let me just say, GENIUS! I was planning on making a gazillion tassels and stringing them close together to get this look, but this was so much faster and I ended up with such fat and fluffy strands, I’m in LOVE!

Tissue Tassel Tutorial

I remember the first time I saw someone make tassels for a party, I was like… Gorgeous, but way too time consuming  But then I walked down the tissue aisle and saw all the pretty colors and just HAD to make my own for this Princess Party!  I still wish I’d been able to find some gold tissue paper to mix in with these fun colors, but I ended up using gold washi tape instead!

Tiana – Man Catching New Orleans Beignets

When it came time to pick a recipe to represent Tiana there was NO question I was making Beignet’s! This goes right along with my Disney Copycat recipes.  Ever since I first watched Princess and the frog I was dying to try authentic New Orleans Beignets.  So when I went to Disneyland this year my daughter and I hit up the Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Kitchen and shared a bag… EVERY DAY.  SO good.

Snow White’s “Poisoned” Toffee Apple recipe

Coming up with a party food for Snow White was easy, apples.  But do I do sliced apples with my fruit dip? That’s not very sinister… So I decided to try something new! Toffee apples AKA Candied apples.  Add a little (or a lot) of black food dye and you have a pretty awesome visual!

These toffee apples made great Snow White "poisoned" apples for the royal princess birthday party food
